Wheel Chair & Other Assitive Devices
Should you need to use a wheel chair while flying from North Platte Airport, Great Lakes Airlines has a chair lift that will transport you safely into the aircraft. Great Lakes personnle will meet you in Denver and safely bring you off the aircraft onto a wheel chair. Wheel chairs and walkers can travel with the passenger with no deduction from their baggage weight allowance, as long as they fit into the aircraft's cago hold. Batteries from battery powered wheel chairs must be removed from the chair and stored in a seperated leak proof container in the cargo hold. Some crutches and canes may be allowed to accompany the passenger inside the cabin depending on their size and location of the passenger's seat.
Oxygen
Persons who require occasional or constant oxygen from a container may not fly on Great Lakes Airlines. Portable oxygen concentrators can be carried onto a Great Lakes flight, but may not be used during the duration of the flight. If deemed necessary, a ticket agent may require a medical authorization from a physician stating that the passenger can complete the entire flight without having to use the portable oxygen concentrator.
Portable Ventilators and Respirators
Portable ventilators or respirators, including their non-spillable batteries, may be brought on board and used during flight. Those passengers must comply with under seat stowage or seat baggage stowing rules.
